How can Marketplaces improve SCM efficiencies

Although eMarketplaces’ hype is gone and their sky-high business-models as well, the fantastic added-value related to the settlement of those structures is still valid, the unsolved issue being « how to ». Anyway, my purpose is not to answer this question but to underline, through the graph below, how eMarketplaces can improve SCM (Supply Chain Management) efficiencies bringing additional visibility to playing-partners:
